Basketball Recap: Wynn Allen's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Gulliver Prep over Mater Bay Academy

Gulliver Prep lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Wynn Allen, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 18 boards. Another player making a difference was Champ Smith, who posted 24 points and six rebounds.

Mater Bay Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alexander Guererro, who went 8-for-15 en route to 22 points and four steals. The contest was Guererro's seventh in a row with at least 17 points. Kevin Rodriguez was another key player, shooting 55% from the field on his way to 16 points and eight boards.

Gulliver Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Mater Bay Academy, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
