Baseball Recap: Clayton Takes a Loss

Clayton made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Woodstown, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Clippers fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 3-1 on Monday. The Clippers haven't had much luck with the Wolverines recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Clayton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Justin Delaney, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Clayton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Woodstown, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-7-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clayton will host Pitman at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Woodstown, they will be playing at home against Penns Grove at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
