Softball Recap: Eastpointe Takes a Loss

Eastpointe extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to ten on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 0-9 in the process. They lost 17-0 to the Fitzgerald Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, with their most recent loss being a 18-1 defeat on May 2nd.

As for Fitzgerald, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.9 runs over those games.

For Fitzgerald's part, Briana Parsons was incredible, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Parsons has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kae'La Crosby, who went 1-for-2 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

As of now, neither Eastpointe nor Fitzgerald have any future games scheduled.
