Baseball Recap: D'Evelyn Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous three meetings between D'Evelyn and Evergreen, and Evergreen kept the tradition alive. The Jaguars fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 7-6 on Thursday. If the Jaguars were looking for revenge after losing 4-2 to the Cougars when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

D'Evelyn saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Meiser, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

D'Evelyn's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Evergreen, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-3-1.

Coincidentally, D'Evelyn and Evergreen will both be playing Wheat Ridge the next time they take the field. The Cougars will head out to face the Farmers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Jaguars will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
