Basketball Recap: Unaka Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Unaka hadn't done well against Cosby recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Unaka Rangers enjoyed a cozy 73-55 win over the Cosby Eagles. This was a revenge game for the Rangers: when they faced off against the Eagles back in December of 2024, they had to take a 68-66 defeat.

The victory snapped Unaka's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-6 record. As for Cosby, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13.

Unaka will take on Cloudland at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: Unaka has lost four straight at home , while Cloudland has lost seven on the road. As for Cosby, they will challenge Washburn at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Cosby knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Washburn likes a good challenge.
