Rockmart is 1-9 against Model since February of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Rockmart Yellowjackets will head out on the road to square off against the Model Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. Rockmart will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 288th, while Model is ranked 60th).
After soaring to ten goals the game before, Rockmart were a bit more limited in their match on Wednesday. They suffered a rough 11-1 loss at the hands of Woodland. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Rockmart was already down 6-1.
Meanwhile, Model put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their undefeated season alive. They never let Mount Paran Christian onto the board and left with a 2-0 victory. That's two games straight that Model has won by exactly two goals.
Rockmart's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Model, they pushed their record up to 6-0-1 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
