Soccer Game Preview: Toppenish vs. Selah

The Toppenish Wildcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Selah Vikings at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Toppenish is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They came out on top against Grandview by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. Toppenish haven't had any issues with Grandview recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Selah put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their undefeated season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand Ellensburg a 1-0 shutout. Given Selah's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 11th, while Ellensburg are ranked 96th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Toppenish's victory bumped their record up to 2-3-1. As for Selah, their win bumped their record up to 5-0-1.
