Recap: College Park Falcons vs. Fremont Tigers
On Thursday, College Park was able to grind out a solid victory over Fremont, taking the game 58-46. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win College Park has managed all season.
College Park's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Michael Wray led the charge by scoring 14 points along with three steals. Wray has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Marcos O'Connell was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds.
College Park's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5. As for Fremont, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. College Park will square off against San Rafael at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in San Rafael's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six contests. As for Fremont, they will head out on the road to face off against Pittsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pittsburg knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Fremont likes a good challenge.
