Softball Recap: Wednesday's Win Is West Florence's Tenth in Last 12 Outings

West Florence owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Lugoff-Elgin Demons with a sharp 8-0 win. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Not much got past Annie Ruth Eliason, who gave up just three hits and racked up 19 Ks to keep Lugoff-Elgin off the board. Eliason has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, West Florence got a big performance out of Tolsyn Lynch, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs Lynch has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendra Howle, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

West Florence is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Lugoff-Elgin, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-13.

As of now, neither West Florence nor the Demons have any future games scheduled.
