Softball Recap: Margaretta Polar Bears vs. Huron Tigers        
        
		
            
 It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Margaretta had no problem doing just that  on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Huron Tigers  a   9-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for Margaretta, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
  Skylar Colvin made a splash no matter where she played. She  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only two  hits while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. Colvin has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. Colvin was also stellar in the batter's box,  firing off two  home runs and five  RBI while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Ellie Belak, who  went 1-for-3 with a  home run and two  runs.  Cassie Lane was another key contributor,  going 1-for-4 with a  home run.
 The  victory  made it two in a row for Margaretta and  bumps their season record up to 18-10. As for Huron, they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 15-8.
 Margaretta will head out on the road to  challenge  Edison at 4:45  p.m.  on Monday. Huron does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
