Basketball Recap: Lac Courte Oreilles Comes Up Short

Lac Courte Oreilles was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Hurley Northstars, falling 45-23. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Northstars from their previous meeting back in January.

Lac Courte Oreilles' loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Hurley, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.

Lac Courte Oreilles will take on Bayfield in a holiday battle at at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Lac Courte Oreilles is facing Bayfield at the right time seeing as Bayfield is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Hurley, they will head out to challenge Mellen at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Mellen will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Hurley surely won't give up without a fight.
