Recap: De Kalb Bears vs. Rivercrest Rebels
The De Kalb Bears's game on Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They strolled past Rivercrest with points to spare, taking the game 63-45. That result was just more of the same for these two, as De Kalb also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2020.
Several Rebels players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Anna Duvall, who scored 18 points. The match was Duvall's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Maggie Jean, who scored 8 points along with 10 rebounds.
De Kalb's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Rivercrest, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
De Kalb will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on New Boston at 6:15 p.m. on December 15th. As for Rivercrest, they will be playing at home against Caddo Mills at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Caddo Mills is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
