Baseball Recap: Martin Luther Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Martin Luther had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Cathedral Prep Crusaders, falling 14-4. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Crusaders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Jayden Santana made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

The victory made it two in a row for Cathedral Prep and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Martin Luther will head out to face off against St. Ann's at 4:00 p.m. on March 26th. As for Cathedral Prep, they will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Monsignor Scanlan at 4:15 p.m. on March 28th.
