Basketball Game Preview: Franklin Wildcats vs. Tippecanoe Red Devils

The Franklin Wildcats will face off against the Tippecanoe Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Franklin is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.7 points per game this season.

Franklin saw some tournament action on Thursday. They snuck past Carroll with a 59-55 victory.

It was another big night for Kai Cook, who went 12-for-22 on his way to 31 points in addition to seven boards and five steals. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 27 points. Christian Mcguire was another key player, putting up seven points.

Meanwhile, Tippecanoe had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.7 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 54-53 W against the Indians. Given the Red Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 192nd, while the Indians are ranked 703rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Franklin's win bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Tippecanoe, they pushed their record up to 20-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.
