Basketball Recap: Sterling Comes Up Short

Sterling was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Diller-Odell Griffin and fell 50-14. The Jets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-2.

Myleigh Weers continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Diller-Odell, putting up 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Baileigh Vilda, who posted ten points.

Sterling's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Diller-Odell, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Sterling is taking a road trip to take on Dorchester on Thursday. Dorchester will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Sterling surely won't give up without a fight. As for Diller-Odell, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-30 win against Fairbury on the 7th.
