Basketball Recap: Northwest Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Northwest entered their contest against Dickson County on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Northwest Vikings took a 64-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dickson County Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 67-58 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Northwest's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-5. As for Dickson County, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.

Northwest will head out on the road to face off against Kenwood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Kenwood has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Dickson County has already played their next match, a 64-51 victory against Clarksville on the 16th.
