Volleyball Recap: Macon County Takes a Loss

Macon County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the Liberty Creek Wolves, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-17, 25-14.

Carleigh Rose paced Macon County's offense, picking up nine kills. Rose got some help from Lexi Patterson and her 18 assists. Patterson also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Jazzlyn Centers, racking up two apiece.

Macon County's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Liberty Creek, their win bumped their record up to 17-13.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Macon County will challenge rival White House at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Liberty Creek is set to face off against their familiar foe White House-Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
