Basketball Recap: Northside - Pinetown Comes Up Short

Northside - Pinetown played a tough contest on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 78-40 loss at the hands of the J.H. Rose Rampants. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kevin Berrelleza, who posted eight points. Berrelleza is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games he's played. Landon Moore was another key player, putting up six points.

Northside - Pinetown's defeat dropped their record down to 17-4. As for J.H. Rose, they pushed their record up to 17-4 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home.

Northside - Pinetown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 74-50 win against Pamlico County on the 11th. As for J.H. Rose, they will square off against Jacksonville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. J.H. Rose knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 18 matchups -- so hopefully Jacksonville likes a good challenge.
