Basketball Game Preview: Taft Toreadors vs. St. Paul Swordsmen

The Taft Toreadors will take on the St. Paul Swordsmen on Saturday. Taft has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Taft took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They walked away with a 65-55 win over Laguna Hills. The victory was some much needed relief for the Toreadors as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 109-36, which was the final score in St. Paul's tilt against Sierra Canyon on Wednesday.

Taft's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for St. Paul, they dropped their record down to 3-3 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
