The Dexter Demons will take on the Robertson Cardinals at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Dexter sitting on five straight victories and Robertson on three.
Dexter is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over Tularosa. The Demons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 matches by ten runs or more this season.

Kaylonie Nevarez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Hannah Sanders was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Melody Duran, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
St. Michael's typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Robertson proved too difficult a challenge. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Horsemen 7-5.
Robertson also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Ariana Sanchez gave up three earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 11 Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jayden Ortega, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Kylee Griego was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.
Dexter pushed their record up to 24-2 with the victory, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Robertson, the victory got them back to even at 13-13.
Dexter came out on top in a nail-biter against Robertson in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 8-7. Will the Demons repeat their success, or do the Cardinals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
