Basketball Game Preview: Beatty Hornets vs. Round Mountain Knights

Beatty is 0-10 against Round Mountain since January of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The Beatty Hornets will head out to square off against the Round Mountain Knights at 5:00 p.m.

Beatty saw some tournament action back in December of 2024. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Carlin an easy 38-15 victory. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Round Mountain). They were the clear victor by a 51-31 margin over Indian Springs on Thursday. The Knights pushed the score to 41-20 by the end of the third, a deficit the Thunderbirds cut but never quite recovered from.

Beatty's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Round Mountain, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-7.

Beatty was dealt a bruising 49-16 loss at the hands of Round Mountain when the teams last played back in February of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Beatty was down 24-4.
