Basketball Recap: Panther Creek Starts Season with Win Against East Wake + How To Watch

Panther Creek had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the East Wake Warriors 74-40. The Catamounts have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

Zy'Vaun Puckett was a one-man wrecking crew as he went 8-for-14 en route to 25 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Camden Hill was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and nine boards.

Panther Creek was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Wake only posted four.

East Wake lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Cam Boone, who posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andreas Arrieux, who earned eight points.

Panther Creek has already played their next game, a 67-54 win against Knightdale on the 21st. As for East Wake, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 68-27 loss against Southeast Raleigh on the 19th.
