Basketball Game Preview: Dale Pirates vs. Vanoss Wolves

The Dale Pirates will head out on the road to take on the Vanoss Wolves at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Dale comes in on ten and Vanoss on five.

Last Tuesday, Dale took their game with ease, bagging an 81-53 win over Christian Heritage. The Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 matches by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, in Tuesday's Canine Competition, Vanoss prevailed. They came out on top against Calera by a score of 59-49 on Tuesday. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 275th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Vanoss pushed their record up to 18-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points per game. As for Dale, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-2 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Dale against Vanoss when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 68-35 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dale since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
