Baseball Game Preview: St. Monica Mariners vs. Bishop Montgomery Knights

For the second straight game, St. Monica will face off against Bishop Montgomery. The Mariners will head out on the road to face off against the Knights at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.

St. Monica will bounce into Thursday's game after beating Bishop Montgomery, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Mariners had just enough and edged out the Knights 6-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mariners.

Julian Salcedo tossed a big game, tossing 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits.

On the hitting side, St. Monica let Nick Wisot and Liam Bernheimer run wild. Wisot scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Bernheimer scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Bernheimer a new career-high in RBI (two).

Bishop Montgomery's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for St. Monica, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.
