It was a proper cat-fight when Mogadore challenged Springfield on Thursday. The Wildcats blew past the Tigers 3-0. The victory was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on six straight.
Mogadore never let Springfield on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-14, 25-22.
Despite the defeat, Springfield saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Erika Grinstead had eight digs.
Mogadore's win bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Springfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-9.
Coming up, Mogadore will take on Independence in a tournament on Monday. Springfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
