Baseball Recap: Boulder Takes a Loss

Boulder extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping their season record down to 8-12 in the process. They came up short against the Riverdale Ridge Ravens, falling 9-0. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Ravens earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

As for Riverdale Ridge, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by six runs or more this season.

For Riverdale Ridge's part, their win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jeter McArthur, who went 2-for-3 with one run. Landon Brophy was another, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Boulder is set to square off against their familiar foe Westminster at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Riverdale Ridge will take on rival Brighton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
