Basketball Recap: Stevens Point Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Stevens Point can now relate to. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 57-56 to the Marshfield Tigers. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Stevens Point's defeat dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Marshfield, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

Stevens Point does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Marshfield, they will challenge Eau Claire Memorial on Thursday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
