Bluff Dale has enjoyed a five-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Lingleville Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Bluff Dale suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Gordon, falling 78-9. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bluff Dale in their matchups with Gordon: they've now lost eight in a row.
Bekah Gannon was Bluff Dale's leading scorer, having posted five points.
Erin Clary held things down on the boards with two rebounds.
Meanwhile, Lingleville's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 44-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Strawn.
Bluff Dale has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Lingleville, their loss dropped their record down to 5-13.
Bluff Dale ended up a good deal behind Lingleville in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, losing 35-18. Can Bluff Dale avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
