There's no place like home for the Victory Baptist Academy Patriots, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They walked away with a 37-24 victory over Azle Christian on Tuesday. That's another feather in the cap for Victory Baptist Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Chyla Cox was the offensive standout of the game as she scored eight points along with six rebounds and four steals. She hasn't dropped below two blocks for six straight games. Kiara Groff was another key contributor, scoring five points along with 11 steals and six rebounds.
Victory Baptist Academy's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-13. As for Azle Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Victory Baptist Academy will take on Episcopal School of Dallas at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Azle Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Valor Preparatory Academy at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday.
