Immanuel Christian had to endure a six-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They strolled past the Chelsea Academy Knights with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 63-48. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Caleb Mornan was the offensive standout of the game as he went 5 of 9 en route to 13 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Maden Ponzar, who posted nine points and five boards.

The victory got Immanuel Christian back to even at 1-1. As for Chelsea Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Immanuel Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 86-17 loss against Fredericksburg Christian on the 9th. As for Chelsea Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Blue Ridge Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 13, 2025.
