Preview: Williamsburg Wildcats vs. Georgetown G-Men
The Williamsburg Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Georgetown G-Men at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Williamsburg will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Even though Williamsburg has not done well against Clermont Northeastern recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Williamsburg snuck past Clermont Northeastern with a 53-48 victory. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Williamsburg has scored all year.
Meanwhile, Georgetown didn't have too much trouble with Felicity-Franklin at home on Friday as they won 55-39. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Georgetown.
Williamsburg pushed their record up to 9-1 with that victory, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Georgetown, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season.
Williamsburg beat Georgetown 55-47 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Will Williamsburg repeat their success, or does Georgetown have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
