After a string of five wins, Clark's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Harlan Hawks. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Hawks when the teams met back in August of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-16, 20-25, 25-21.

Logan Mcginnis paced Clark's offense, picking up 16 kills. Mcginnis got some help from Kelsey Simmerman and her 18 assists. Seren Gomez and Rachel Hirsch kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Clark's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Harlan, their win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clark will challenge Steele at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, Harlan and Brennan will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games the Bears have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
