Football Recap: Cody-Kilgore Takes a Loss

Cody-Kilgore lost against Arthur County back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cowboys/Cowgirls were beaten by the Wolves 62-16. The Cowboys/Cowgirls have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Although Cody-Kilgore took the loss, they still got scores from Kaden McNare and Knox Wobig.

Jaycen Hanna had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 212 yards and four touchdowns on only six carries for Arthur County. Those 212 rushing yards gave Hanna a new career-high.

Cody-Kilgore's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Arthur County, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Cody-Kilgore will face off against Hay Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cowboys/Cowgirls will be up against the Hawks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39.6 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Arthur County, they will square off against Sioux County at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
