Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Ridgeview

Ridgeview won against Frontier last Tuesday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. Ridgeview's pitchers stepped up to hand the Canyon Cowboys a 9-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but the Wolf Pack sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Adrian Bravo was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ayden Vasquez, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Mason Refuerzo was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Ridgeview hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Canyon struck out ten times.

Ridgeview's record now sits at 7-3. As for Canyon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridgeview will host Bakersfield Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Canyon, they will be playing at home against Golden Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
