Basketball Recap: Vega Comes Up Short

Vega won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They were outmatched by the Gruver Greyhounds and fell 56-21. The Longhorns have struggled against the Greyhounds recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Vega's loss dropped their record down to 4-21. As for Gruver, the win keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing West Texas the next time they take the court. Vega will host West Texas at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Gruver will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
