Basketball Game Preview: North Callaway Thunderbirds vs. Macon Tigers

North Callaway and Macon are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2017, but not for long. The North Callaway Thunderbirds will face off against the Macon Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

North Callaway will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Hallsville, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. North Callaway walked away with a 43-30 victory over Hallsville on Wednesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Thunderbirds as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

North Callaway's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Iceonna Tomlinson led the charge by putting up nine points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lakyn Hartley, who posted ten points and eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, Macon can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Moberly as Macon made off with a 59-34 victory.

North Callaway's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Macon, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.

North Callaway didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Macon when the teams last played back in November, but they still walked away with a 43-38 win. Will North Callaway repeat their success, or does Macon have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
