Basketball Recap: Batavia Picks Up Eighth Straight Win at Home

Batavia's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Eastern on Friday. The Batavia Bulldogs walked away with a 63-53 win over the Western Brown Broncos. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 273rd, while the Broncos are ranked 654th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Batavia pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points over those games. As for Western Brown, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.
