Baseball Recap: Polytechnic Takes a Loss

Polytechnic lost against Flintridge Prep on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Panthers fell 4-1 to the Wolves. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Caiden Kennedy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on three hits.

At the plate, Polytechnic saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Phillips, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Polytechnic's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Flintridge Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-13 record this season.

Polytechnic will face off against Alhambra at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Moors' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Flintridge Prep, they will challenge Monrovia at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The last four games the Wildcats have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
