Basketball Game Preview: Effingham County Rebels vs. Savannah Country Day Hornets

The Effingham County Rebels will venture away from home to face off against the Savannah Country Day Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Wednesday, Effingham County didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against South Effingham, but they still walked away with a 62-56 win.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Savannah Country Day, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They came out on top against Swainsboro by a score of 73-60 on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Hornets as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Savannah Country Day's win bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Effingham County, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-14.

Everything went Effingham County's way against Savannah Country Day in their previous matchup back in November of 2019, as Effingham County made off with a 60-37 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Effingham County since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
