Soccer Recap: Oak Ridge Comes Up Short

Oak Ridge lost against Rocklin on January 7th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Oak Ridge Trojans came up short against the Rocklin Thunder, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 309th, while the Thunder are ranked 137th).

Oak Ridge's goal came courtesy of Aiden Rashidi, who's now up to two this season.

Oak Ridge has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6-4 record this season. As for Rocklin, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oak Ridge has already played their next game (against Davis Sr.), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Rocklin will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Granite Bay at 7:00 p.m. Granite Bay's last eight contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
