Basketball Recap: Antravion Kinsey's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Ringgold over Haynesville

Ringgold suffered their biggest loss since December 7, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against the Haynesville Golden Tornado, falling 62-40. The Redskins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Tornado apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Ringgold's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was AnTravion Kinsey, who went 7-for-12 to rack up 13 points. Kinsey is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Keenan Johnson, who posted ten points and three steals.

Ringgold's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 10-19. As for Haynesville, they pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Ringgold has already played their next match, a 59-20 victory against Plain Dealing on the 14th. As for Haynesville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-30 win against North DeSoto on the 13th.
