Basketball Game Preview: Whitney Wildcats vs. West Trojans

Whitney hasn't had much luck against West recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Whitney Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the West Trojans at 6:00 p.m.

Whitney is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game on Friday. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 44-41 heartbreaker at the hands of Troy. One positive for the Wildcats, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, West really took it to McGregor for the full four quarters, racking up a 56-28 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

West is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-14 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.4 points per game. As for Whitney, their loss dropped their record down to 3-20.

Whitney was dealt a bruising 43-11 defeat at the hands of West in their previous meeting back in January. Can Whitney avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
