Basketball Recap: Ethan Hanners' Big Game Can't Quite Lead First Assembly Christian over Glen Iris Baptist

First Assembly Christian lost against Glen Iris Baptist back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The game between the Lions and the Swordsmen didn't end well, with the Lions falling 48-30.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ethan Hanners, who posted five points and four steals.

First Assembly Christian dropped their record down to 1-1 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Glen Iris Baptist, the win was the seventh in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, First Assembly Christian will challenge Adullam House Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Glen Iris Baptist, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on HALO on December 5.
