Lakeside took care of business in their home opener on Monday (and then some). They really took it to the Wallace Miners for the full four quarters, racking up a 107-43 win. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Knights had established a 56 point advantage.
Tyson Charley had a dynamite game for Lakeside, shooting 6-for-9 from long range and almost dropping a double-double on 40 points and nine assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Hallah Peone, who shot 7-for-9 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten assists.
Lakeside was working as a unit and finished the game with 40 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.
Wallace's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emmitt Myles, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Myles a new career-high in field goal percentage (83%). Reece Williams was another key player, scoring seven points.
Lakeside will square off against Lapwai at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Wallace, they are taking a road trip to challenge Mullan at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
