On Thursday, Palo Verde faced Foothill in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Palo Verde Panthers won by a set and slipped past the Foothill Falcons 3-2. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Palo Verde got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 44-42, 25-17, 22-25, 15-13.

Palo Verde's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Foothill, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-4.

Palo Verde will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Coronado at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th. As for Foothill, they will be taking part in a tournament against Buchanan at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
