Spackenkill typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Millbrook proved too difficult a challenge. They blew past the Spartans 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Blazers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Millbrook won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 26-24, 25-14.

Nina Lapine paced Millbrook's offense, picking up 12 kills. Lapine got some help from Alexis Larocca and her 26 assists. Lapine was also solid from the service line: she led the team with ten aces.

The win made it two in a row for Millbrook and bumps their season record up to 16-9-8. As for Spackenkill, their loss dropped their record down to 12-3.
