Volleyball Recap: Sturgis Brown Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Watertown

Sturgis Brown faced Watertown in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Scoopers fell 2-0 to the Arrows. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Scoopers of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Kynsee Russell was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 17 assists and five digs. Russell is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 17 every time she's taken the court this season.

Sturgis Brown now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Watertown, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
