The Onaga Buffaloes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Blue Valley by a score of 46-44. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Onaga has suffered yet this season.

Despite the loss, Onaga still got an impressive performance from Bridgett Campbell, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. Campbell is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Brianna Bates, who scored eight points along with three steals.

Onaga's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Blue Valley, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.

Onaga on the road again on Saturday and play against Troy at 10:00 a.m. on January 20th. Troy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Onaga in Kansas (Troy is ranked 125th, while Onaga is ranked 263rd). As for Blue Valley, they will head out on the road to challenge Washington County on Saturday.
