Volleyball Recap: Downers Grove South Takes a Loss

Downers Grove South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lockport Porters. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Porters apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2022.

Lockport was led to victory by Ryan Dziadkowiec and Drew Miller. Dziadkowiec had 12 assists and six digs, while Miller had nine digs and two assists.

Downers Grove South's defeat dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Lockport, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-11 record.

Downers Grove South wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Yorkville on the 3rd. As for Lockport, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Fishers on the 3rd.
