Preview: Chapin Eagles vs. Lexington Wildcats
Chapin is 0-10 against Lexington since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Chapin Eagles will play host again and welcome the Lexington Wildcats, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Chapin will be strutting in after a victory while Lexington will be coming in after a loss.
Even though Chapin has not done well against River Bluff recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Chapin came out on top against River Bluff by a score of 44-36.
Chapin found their leader in underclassman Reagan Haggard, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds and four steals. Haggard is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Keke Wright, who scored 12 points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Lexington's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 48-33 bruising from Dutch Fork.
Chapin's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Lexington, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
